Beam
In support of Unpad’s efforts to preserve the environment, the university has partnered with Beam Mobility. Beam provides electric bicycles, which are used as transportation within the campus, including for mobility during the 36th National Student Science Week (Pimnas) at Unpad, from November 26 to December 1, 2023. During Pimnas, these electric bicycles are available for use by anyone, including Pimnas participants, support teams, officials, and the organizing committee.
The collaboration coordinator for the 36th Pimnas organizing committee, Dr. Cipta Endyana, M.T. (Vice Dean of FTG), stated that Beam supports Unpad’s goal of becoming an environmentally friendly, green campus. After the Pimnas event, these electric bicycles will be available for use by the entire Unpad community to further reduce campus emissions. The bicycles are stationed at several building locations, with a battery charging shelter located at the FTG building.
Pedestrian
FTG provides comfortable pedestrian facilities to enhance the great experience for students, staff, and visitors. Comfortable pedestrian facilities ensure safety, accessibility, and convenience, contributing to a positive campus environment. Pedestrian facilities have clear pathways that are direct and easy to navigate, connecting central building locations such as academic buildings, cafeterias, and other faculty buildings in the surrounding area. The facilities are designed with sufficient width to accommodate foot traffic, including those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
