PPM Sukabumi is engaged in a project to develop educational and conservation tourism villages and facilitate community economic empowerment by cultivating orchids. The Orchid Cultivation and Conservation Site in Waluran Village is an orchid cultivation site established as a step to save orchids from the forest. Additionally, it aims to make the local residents more aware of and responsible for their environment, as well as to introduce them to forest orchids. Some orchids here serve as ornamental plants. So far, there has been a discussion about creating a breeding site. This breeding site is intended as a learning resource for planting or as an educational tourism destination. There are various types of orchids at this site; not all of them are for sale, but certain types are available for purchase.

Kang Dede, the administrator of this conservation site, hopes that it can open up new livelihoods for the local residents and that this conservation site can be established in areas with fewer settlements, shaded conditions, and good vehicle access.
