Kampung Wisata Cisangkal is located in Mekarmulya Hamlet, Bangunkarya Village, Langkaplancar District, Pangandaran Regency, West Java. Cisangkal comes from the Sundanese words “Ci,” meaning water, and “Sangkal,” meaning to prevent or ward off. Cisangkal Forest is an indigenous forest that has been protected by the community for generations as a water source to prevent long droughts. Additionally, the forest is home to five legendary local durian trees that have stood for approximately three centuries. The five local durian trees have unique local names: Si Kunir, Si Tenggok, Si Kantong, Si Kerah, and Si Piit.

PPM Pangandaran conducts outreach programs for local farmers to facilitate knowledge exchange and provide opportunities for the community and local farmers to collaborate in improving sustainable farming practices. Through these programs, PPM Pangandaran is committed to preserving and enhancing the added value of existing agricultural products.
