Gunung Sungging Village is one of the geosites in the UNESCO Global Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu. The village is renowned for its geological diversity, including caves where fossils of the ancient shark Megalodon have been discovered. Additionally, the village has several potential tourist attractions that can be developed, such as a Megalodon museum (Megmuzee), geological sites (Gunung Sungging Cave, Nusa Karang Gintung Cave, and Parat Cave), natural sites (rice fields, coconut trees, and gadung plants), cultural attractions (Pencak Silat and Calung arts), and socio-economic potentials (pottery crafts, opak processing, and palm sugar production).
