The art gallery of rocks and minerals collection in the Faculty of Geological Engineering building offers an excellent opportunity to showcase the beauty and diversity of geological specimens in a way that enhances educational and aesthetic experiences. It will emphasize artistic elements, such as the natural beauty and unique patterns of specimens.
The gallery layout considers lighting, display cases, and visitor traffic flow. The display cases are designed with glass fronts to optimize the viewing experience and protect showcase specimens. Each display case has a different collection theme, including mineral diversity, gemstone varieties, rock-forming processes, or geological features like crystals or fossils. Labels and information are created for each specimen, including its name, origin, formation, and unique characteristics. The implementation of these strategies will ensure that the gallery is accessible to everyone and provide cultural and educational resources for the public.
Please take the opportunity to view the collection display in the lobbies of the Dean’s Building and Academic Building I.
