Objectives

- To achieve advancements in geological science and technology research in the fields of energy resource exploration, mineral resources, regional engineering, and disaster management.
- To attain mastery of geological science and technology capable of addressing sustainability and geological resource management; mitigating risks related to geological and engineering geological processes; and developing new, original, and up-to-date discoveries in line with advancements in science and technology.

- Menyelenggarakan pendidikan doktor Teknik Geologi berkualitas internasional.

TUJUAN
- Terselenggaranya institusi program doktor Teknik Geologi yang memiliki kurikulum dengan mengakomodasi tuntutan pengguna dan Sumber Daya Manusia yang berstandar internasional.
- Terwujudnya peningkatan kontribusi dalam penajaman metodologi penelitian berlandaskan kepada teori-teori mutakhir dengan pendekatan metode serta kaidah ilmiah yang absah (valid). Sehingga tercapainya penelitian ilmu dan teknologi geologi dalam bidang eksplorasi sumberdaya energi, mineral serta rekayasa kewilayahan dan kebencanaan.
- Tercapainya penguasaan pengetahuan ilmu dan teknologi geologi yang mampu menghadapi keberlanjutan dan manajemen sumberdaya geologi; mitigasi risiko yang terkait dengan proses geologi dan keteknikan geologi; serta mengembangkan hal-hal baru (new discovery), original, dan aktual sesuai perkembangan iptek.

Kurikulum Program Studi Magister Teknik Geologi dirancang untuk selalu mengikuti perkembangan dan memberikan peluang minat mahasiswa untuk menentukan mata kuliah pilihan dalam lingkup yang lebih luas dengan kekhususan ilmu geologi. Komposisi mata kuliah disusun atas dasar kombinasi tuntutan kompetensi atau keahlian yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja dalam persaingan global, kompetensi dosen, sarana dan prasarana, serta perkembangan keilmuan. Dalam kurikulum terdapat beberapa mata kuliah yang harus diambil oleh mahasiswa serta mata kuliah pilihan yang dapat menambah nilai kredit mahasiswa.
