Faculty of Geological Engineering’s Support for Unpad’s Public Commitment to 100% Renewable Energy
As an integral part of Universitas Padjadjaran, the Faculty of Geological Engineering (FTG) wholeheartedly supports Unpad’s Public Commitment to 100% Renewable Energy. This commitment aligns closely with our core academic values in understanding and managing Earth’s resources responsibly and sustainably.
As an institution rooted in geosciences, we fully recognize that the climate crisis is a pressing global challenge that demands real and immediate action from all sectors of society — including higher education. The transition to renewable energy is not only important, but also urgent. FTG stands ready to contribute actively through research, innovation, and the development of technologies and policies that promote clean and sustainable energy.
Through our academic mission of education, research, and community service, we are committed to:
Integrating renewable energy and sustainability issues into our curriculum and academic activities;
Encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration in research on geothermal potential, solar, wind, and biomass energy;
Supporting green campus policies and energy efficiency within our faculty and across the university;
Serving as a strategic partner in energy transition advocacy and implementation at local and national levels.
The Faculty of Geological Engineering believes that meaningful change starts with concrete action and strong collaboration. Together with Unpad, we are committed to building a university that excels not only in academics but also as a leader in creating a clean, green, and sustainable future.
