To enhance knowledge and skills in disaster mitigation and the use of emergency response equipment, HSE (Health Safety Environment) FTG Unpad conducted a Training of Trainers of Emergency Response Equipment on Thursday, February 23, 2023. Participants were members of both the HSE and HMG. The speaker for this event was Mr. Riki Taufik from UPT Pemadam Kebakaran Tanjungsari.
In this Training of Trainers on Emergency Response Equipment, participants and the speaker discussed various elements such as the basics of fire fighting, fundamental components, fire classification, causes of fire, fire control, and self-control. Participants were introduced to the components and types of fire extinguishers (APAR) and practised using them. Additionally, the training covered various fire-handling techniques, including traditional and modern methods of extinguishing flames, dealing with gas leaks that result in fires, and using hydrant hoses to put out fires.
