Muhammad Rezandi Shidqi, an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Geological Engineering, Universitas Padjadjaran (FTG Unpad), represented Indonesia at the 2024 International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) Education Week. Rezandi was one of 97 students selected from all over the world to participate in the international conference.

IPTC is an international energy conference and exhibition held annually in the Middle East and other Asia Pacific regions. In 2024, it was held from February 9 to 14 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This year’s theme is Inventing Solutions: Leading the Transition. The conference discusses programs, activities, and current issues in technology and industry worldwide.

As a Geological Engineering undergraduate student passionate about the energy sector, Rezandi is curious to learn and explore how the petroleum and energy industries work. He met various bright and like-minded individuals, including professors, technicians, and other students.

He was grateful for the opportunity from the four-event creators: Society of Petroleum Engineers, European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and Society of Exploration Geophysicists.

At this event, Rezandi also visited Dhahran Technological Valley, the Headquarters of Baker Hughes, NESR, and King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
